Over the last month or so, I have noticed a sharp increase in what has become known as DIGG BEGGING. These are people who post their links on Twitter, forums and wherever else asking sometimes begging people to Digg their article. The question I ask is, WHY? I understand the importance of the Digg front page which sends a torrent of traffic your way if your lucky but why resort to begging or using Digg exchanges? For us common users, Digg used to be a place which was ruled my the majority, also known as the wisdom of crowds. It seems as if the Digg system has finally broke down to the point where there is more trash within the Digg system than there are nuggets of gold.
If your page or content is front page worthiness, I’m sure it would reach the front page without the need of begging or purchasing Diggs. As DigitalSpammer suggests, please make this stop.

@Mark Thanks for stopping by. From monitoring Twitter, I have noticed that those who ask or beg for Diggs usually have better results than those who don’t. Do you think that perhaps a Digg user is more likely to Digg an article simply because someone asked them too, or do people Digg based on the actual content.
I think those who beg for Diggs or those who purchase Diggs or anyone gains Diggs by any unnatural means is simply trying to do whatever they can to be noticed, to win.
If thats what it takes, I’m going to be a loser for the rest of my life lol.
I haven’t been on Digg for awhile until today. I was tired of all the DIGG THIS UP TO SAVE SO AND SO…I scanned Digg just now and they still have posts that are junk. Maybe they should have two front pages! One for offbeat/strange/worthless/weird/junk news, and one for more informative/worthy news…idk, but that way we can choose which one we want to search through. Thats my opinion though lol
lol…I just remembered that you can pick one of the tab thingys and decide what to read–I guess I’m just to lazy to pick something other than the front page >_<
@SierraIf your savvy enough, you can go through Digg and create your own RSS feed that scrapes only the Digg stories that your interested in. You might even be able to create a digg search keyword rss feed.
