WordPress Weekly Episode 18

WordPress Weekly LogoWell, another week has passed which means another edition of WordPress Weekly. In this episode, it was more like a free for all, talk about anything we want kind of deal. Although during the show, I did bring up a number of news items that I thought were worth discussing. During the introductions, I gave Ryan Hellyer a chance to announce a new WordPress Paid service that he has launched that deals with his new dropdown menu CSS generator. The service usually costs $50.00 but he ended up offering a deal for listeners of the WordPress Weekly podcast. If you sign up to his forum located here http://pixopoint.com/forum/ he was granting out free passes to the service. I’m not sure how long this offer will last so head on over to his forum and sign up!

I also allowed Ronald Huereca to explain the new iteration of his popular WordPress plugin, Ajax Edit Comments 2.0

Other than that, here are the stories we discussed:

Nice show! Thanks for the mention of the template tag lookup tool, even though the general consensus was it wasn’t very useful. The tool was meant to be aimed towards beginners wanting a quick/instant lookup for template tags to better understand how WordPress themes work, while the users giving feedback seemed to be more seasoned developers.

Until June 10th, anyone who wants free access to the premium CSS generator for creating flyout, slider and dropdown menus for your wordpress site, should register for our forum, then leave a message on our contact page letting us know you found out about us from jeffro2pt0.com and we’ll give you free access to the premium service for a period of one month (don’t forget to tel us your username).

Interesting show today. I might try something other than Skype to call in next time though, the lag makes it almost impossible to get a word in as I kept talking over other people – sorry about that.

  3. Jeffro says:

@Leland - No problem. I thought it was something nifty worth mentioning but the people I asked were seasoned veterans, those who have coded a plugin or theme before. Thats why I think they’re reactions were what they were. I still think it’s kind of neat and something that could be built upon to be made even better.
